India Post has officially opened applications for Gramin Dak Sevak (GDS) Recruitment 2025, inviting eligible candidates to apply for Branch Postmaster (BPM), Assistant Branch Postmaster (ABPM), and Dak Sevak positions. This recruitment drive aims to fill 21,413 vacancies across different postal circles.

Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification:
Candidates must have passed the 10th standard (Matriculation) with Mathematics and English as subjects from a recognized Board of School Education in India.
Age Limit:
- Minimum Age: 18 years
- Maximum Age: 40 years
(Age relaxation applicable as per government norms.)
Salary (Pay Scale)
Selected candidates will receive a Time Related Continuity Allowance (TRCA) with a 3% annual increment, as per GDS rules:
- Branch Postmaster (BPM): ₹12,000 – ₹29,380
- Assistant Branch Postmaster (ABPM) / Dak Sevak: ₹10,000 – ₹24,470
Selection Process
- A merit list will be prepared based on marks obtained in the 10th standard (or equivalent examination).
- Grades/Points will be converted into percentage marks (accurate up to four decimal places).
- Shortlisted candidates will be notified via SMS and must complete document verification.
- The final selection list will be published on the GDS Online Portal.

- Female candidates
- SC/ST applicants
- PwD (Persons with Disabilities) applicants
- Transwomen applicants
