Indian Airforce AgniveerVayu Musicians Recruitment 2024: Eligibility
The Indian Air Force (IAF) has clearly put the major eligibility criteria on its official website regarding their educational qualifications and other requirements. Students should take their time to read through all these details before applying for any of the positions.
Educational Qualification
The candidate should have passed the 10th standard or equivalent examination with the minimum qualifying marks from a recognized school or board of a body approved by the government.
Music Ability
- Candidates should be skilled in music, demonstrating precision in tempo, pitch, and the ability to sing a full song accurately. They should perform a warm-up piece and interpret different types of musical notations, like Staff notation, Tablature, Tonic Solfa, Hindustani, or Carnatic. Additionally, they should be able to tune instruments if needed and match unfamiliar notes, both in vocals and instruments.
- Candidates must be proficient in playing at least one instrument from either List A or List B. It’s preferred if they can play two instruments, one from each list.

Candidates should have been born between January 2, 2007, and July 2, 2024, counting both these dates.
Experience Certificate
Candidates need to fulfill one of these requirements:
- Achieve Grade 5 or higher in a recognized musical instrument from institutions like TCL (Trinity College London), RSM (Rockschool), KM Music Conservatory, Bangalore School of Music, TSM (The Swarnabhoomi Berklee School of Music, Academy of Music, GMI (Global Music Institute), etc.
- Obtain a diploma or its equivalent in music, specifically in Hindustani or Carnatic Classical Music, from a recognized university.
- Provide certificates showing participation or awards received at various events, especially for those skilled in wind instruments and proficient in staff notation as specified in the Educational Qualification Requirements.
