The Oriental Insurance Company Limited has officially released the OICL AO Scale-I Recruitment 2025 notification for 300 Administrative Officer posts. Out of these, 285 posts are for Generalist Officers and 15 posts are for Hindi (Rajbhasha) Officers. This is a great opportunity for candidates looking for a government job in the insurance sector.
Earlier, the application process was supposed to start on 1 December 2025, but it has now been revised. As per the latest update, online registration and fee payment will begin on 3 December 2025 from 6:30 PM and will close on 18 December 2025 at midnight.

OICL AO Eligibility Criteria 2025
Nationality
Candidates must be:
A citizen of India
Or a subject of Nepal or Bhutan
Or a Tibetan refugee who came to India before 1 January 1962
Or a person of Indian origin who migrated from selected countries
Such candidates must have a valid eligibility certificate from the Government of India.
Educational Qualification (As on 30 November 2025)
For Generalist Officer:
Graduation or Post Graduation in any discipline with at least 60 percent marks. SC and ST candidates need 55 percent.
For Hindi (Rajbhasha) Officer:
A Master’s degree in Hindi with English as a subject, or
A Master’s degree in English with Hindi as a subject, or
A Master’s degree in any subject where one language is the medium and the other is a subject
Minimum 60 percent marks are required. For SC and ST candidates, it is 55 percent.
Age Limit (As on 30 November 2025)
Minimum age: 21 years
Maximum age: 30 years
Age relaxation is available for reserved categories as per rules. Persons with benchmark disabilities can get up to 10 years of relaxation.
OICL AO Salary 2025
Selected candidates will get a strong salary package:
Basic pay: ₹50,925
Pay scale: ₹50,925 to ₹96,765
Approximate monthly salary in metros: ₹85,000
Other benefits include medical cover, leave travel allowance, pension under NPS, gratuity, house rent or leased accommodation, and accident insurance.
OICL AO Selection Process 2025
The selection will happen in three stages:
Preliminary Exam (Phase I)
This will be an online exam of 100 marks for 1 hour.
Subjects include English, Reasoning, and Quantitative Aptitude.
Main Exam (Phase II)
For Generalist Officers:
Objective test of 200 marks
Descriptive English test of 30 marks
Total time: 180 minutes
For Hindi Officers:
Objective test of 200 marks
Descriptive Hindi and English test of 50 marks
Total time: 180 minutes
Interview (Phase III)
Final selection will be based on:
Main exam: 80 percent
Interview: 20 percent
OICL AO Application Fee 2025
SC, ST and PwBD candidates need to pay ₹250
All other candidates need to pay ₹1000
