Uttar Pradesh Teacher Recruitment 2024: New Guidelines Released for UPESSC
Teacher Recruitment: The Uttar Pradesh government has released new guidelines for the Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission (UPESSC), outlining the recruitment process for teachers across the state. These guidelines aim to ensure a transparent and efficient selection process for government-run and aided schools and colleges.
Key Highlights of the UP Teacher Recruitment Process
As per the latest notification, the Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission (UPESSC) will oversee the recruitment process for teachers and instructors in basic, secondary, and higher education institutions across the state. The commission will conduct examinations and interviews to select qualified candidates for various teaching positions.
Selection Criteria and Interview Process
The recruitment process will be based on a combination of written examinations and interviews. According to the notification:
- Candidates must secure a minimum of 40 percent marks in the interview.
- The maximum marks that can be awarded in the interview are 90 percent of the total.
- The number of candidates shortlisted for interviews will be three to five times the number of available vacancies.
- The selection committee will determine the number of interviews conducted per day and the number of interview boards required.
Merit List and Final Selection
The final merit list will be prepared by combining the marks obtained in the written examination and the interview. However, in cases where the selection process is solely based on a written exam, the merit list will be created based on the written exam scores alone.
These guidelines reinforce the government’s commitment to maintaining a fair and merit-based teacher recruitment process in Uttar Pradesh. With these new measures, the UPESSC aims to streamline the hiring process and ensure the selection of highly capable educators for the state’s education system.
