Starting June 30, 2025, all UPI Transfer apps in India will be required to show the registered name of the account holder during a transaction. This feature applies to peer-to-peer (P2P) and peer-to-merchant (P2PM) transactions. The name shown will be the one recorded in the bank’s Core Banking System (CBS), helping you confirm that you’re sending money to the right person.
