Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
The qualification depends on the teaching level and subject selected.
- For Classes 1 to 5: Candidates generally need the prescribed Intermediate/10+2 qualification along with the required elementary education training qualification such as D.El.Ed., B.El.Ed. or an applicable special education qualification. Candidates with graduation and the prescribed D.El.Ed. qualification may also be eligible.
- For Classes 6 to 8: Candidates need the prescribed graduation qualification in the relevant subject along with B.Ed., D.El.Ed., B.El.Ed. or another accepted teacher-training qualification, depending on the post.
Candidates must also meet the applicable JTET/CTET/TET requirements prescribed for the relevant teaching level. The notification contains post-wise qualification conditions, so applicants should check the detailed requirements before submitting the form.
For backlog vacancies, candidates must also satisfy the prescribed Para Teacher experience requirement. The JSSC application portal specifies a minimum of two years of continuous service as an Assistant Teacher (Para Teacher) under JEPC, Ranchi, along with the other eligibility conditions.
